1956 MCM in Bradley Hills Grove – $1.099 Million

I recently toured this wood-and-brick clad MCM in Bradley Hills Grove in Bethesda. With walls of glass and perched on a tree-covered hill at the end of a cul-de-sac, this 4/2.5 house upholds the mid-century modernist ethos of blending outdoor and indoor spaces. Look at the view of the trees from the living room and full-length balcony. See more images here.

I’m still trying to figure out who did this custom home. Charles Goodman? This definately has a Goodmanesque feel and reminds me of some the homes in Hollin Hills. How about Edmund Bennett with Keyes, Lethbridge and Condon? They were active in the Bethesda area. If anyone has ideas, post a comment or e-mail me at moderncapital@gmail.com.

Cool Danish modern wall unit in the open living room.

Wall of windows in the living room/dining room.
