Price Drop: 1967 Mid-Century Modern Overlooking Park – $1.1 Million

Fleming House by Eason Cross
Eason Cross, FAIA, who worked for Charles Goodman from 1952 to 1959 and still lives in Hollin Hills, designed this 1967 home terraced into the hillside overlooking Rock Creek Park. The 4 bedroom/3 bathroom home, located here in Chevy Chase, D.C., was designed for Robert Fleming, who served as the press secretary for President Johnson.  The design features soaring wood beamed ceilings, walls of glass and clerestory windows. It won the “Wood House of the Year” award in 1967. Kitchen and baths are contemporary updates. The price has been reduced $50K to $1.1 million.

Gorgeous! I’ll take this over any other multi-million$ McMansion.

Or I might take the McMansion and sell it so I can buy this house and others featured on this blog 😉
