Cross & Adreon ‘Barn House’ in Potomac – $825K

I toured this Cross & Adreon-designed home in Potomac yesterday. Built by Matthews and Schwartz, this 1973 mid-century modern is set on .36 acre lot in Timberwood of Potomac. The three-level Barn House model won a 1966 Homes for Better Living award in a competition sponsored by the American Institute of Architects and House & Home.  Eason Cross, FAIA, who studied at Harvard with Bauhaus masters Walter Gropius and Marcel Breuer, passed away in late January 2016 at the age of 90. Cross worked for Charles M. Goodman early in his career and was a long-time resident of Hollin Hills. Cross was well-known for his award-winning modernist housing designs.
