D.C. to New Canaan or Bust: Johnson’s Glass House Now Open

If you are looking for a good road trip to escape D.C. this summer, head up to New Canaan, Conn., to see Philip Johnson’s Glass House, which is now open to the public for the first time since it was built in 1949. But you’ll have to wait until later this summer because the $25 a ticket tours (which will run from April to October) are already sold out through July. Here are some good articles on the opening of the house to the public from The New York Sun, USA Today and The Hartford Courant. New Canaan is around 270 miles from D.C. Have a good trip.
