Happy Birthday Charles Goodman

Charles M. Goodman, FAIA, was born on this day in 1906 in New York City. He died at the age of 85 on Oct. 29, 1992, in Alexandria, Va. Goodman, the leading residential modernist architect here in Washington, was known for his work on the early iterations of National Airport, the Officers’ Club at Andrews Air Force Base and the residential communities of Hollin Hills in Alexandria, River Park in Southwest DC, Hickory Cluster in Reston, Rock Creek Woods in Silver Spring, among others.  Here are some homes designed by Goodman active on the market.
