Open Houses to Explore – Sunday, March 5
Despite the cold weather this weekend, the spring real estate market is ramping up, especially with the overall mild winter. Here are a few Open Houses to explore today. I will have some new listings coming up soon, including a Goodman in Hammond Wood, so stay tuned.
The house pictured above is a largely untouched 1960 split-level in Bethesda. It has a Japanese vibe with Shoji screens throughout. Listed for $841K and open 1:30 to 4:30 pm.
This looks like a good nice vintage home in Wessynton designed by Deigert & Yerkes, one of the leading mid-century modern architectural teams in the D.C. area. Check out the original kitchen and bathrooms in this one listed for $677K. Open 2 to 4 pm.
This 1966 condo in Cathedral West in the Observatory Circle neighborhood of Washington is still priced at $699K and is open 2 to 4. Cathedral West is an International style condo complex designed in 1965 by MacLane and Chewning. The mid-century modern complex is tucked into the trees of Glover Archibold Park. The units in the flat-roof building have walls of glass and balconies.
If you want a new modern house, take a look at this stunner in Arlington by David Jameson, FAIA. Listed for $2.395 million, it is open 1 to 4 pm.
