Price Drop: 1977 Deck House in Potomac on 1+ Acres – $999K

I just came across this cedar-and-brick clad Deck House in Potomac that was originally listed for $1.1 million. It was listed in the MRIS category “other.” The 3/2.5 house is located here on more than acre. See images here.

Deck House, Inc. was founded in 1959 by William Berkes, a pioneer in post and beam building systems. The Deck House features post and beam construction with exposed Douglas fir beams, wooden ceiling, and mahogany windows and trim.

In 1995, Deck House merged with Acorn Structures, which was founded in 1947. The firm was renamed Empyrean International in 2005, the same year that the dwell home by Empyrean brand was developed. The combined companies have built more than 20,000 homes.
