Price Drop: Arthur Keyes-Designed MCM in Forest Hills

Keyes-designed House

The price for this custom mid-century modern home by Arthur Keyes just dropped from $2.495 million to $2.2 million. Keyes, one of D.C.’s leading modernist architects, was part of the firm Keyes, Lethbridge and Condon, which designed Carderock Springs and Potomac Overlook in Bethesda and Tiber Island in Southwest, among many other notable projects. The 4 bed/4 bath is tucked away on three-quarters of an acre in D.C.’s Forest Hills neighborhood. Keyes died in June 2012 at the the age of 95. The owners, Bernard Koteen, 97, a telecommunications lawyer, and his wife, Sherley, 94, an art consultant who served as a special assistant in the office of the vice president during the Carter administration, both died in February.
