Price Drops, Untouched Mid-Century Moderns
I just closed on the last of my listings from 2011. Hope to have more good mid-century modern homes for you this year. The overall market for new listings coming out of the holiday season has been quiet. We’ll see how activity picks up during the next few weeks. As we wait for the new listings to hit the market, here are couple of price drops and two interesting, untouched homes that I have not mentioned yet. The mid-century rambler pictured above in Chevy Chase has dropped $10K to $589K. This 1966 “Decca” model by Hollin Hills developer Robert Davenport is down to $729K from $749K. Here’s an intriguing listing in Springfield, Virginia. It looks like a custom mid-century modern in untouched condition. It is a short sale and listed for $588K. If you want a water view, check out this 1964 home with wood ceilings and walls of glass on more than 2 acres overlooking the Patuxent River in Dunkirk, Maryland.
