(Sold – $1.2 Million; 3/09) 1937 Flat-Roof Bauhaus in South Arlington – $1.2 Million; Open 2/8

I’m heading to Tel Aviv next week to roam around the “White City” to see the largest collection of Bauhaus architecture in world. Luckily, you don’t need to sit on a plane for 11 hours to see this 1937 International Style/Bauhaus-inspired flat-roof home in the Aurora Hills neighborhood in Arlington. The white stucco 4/3.5 home sits on .4 acres with pool and matching flat-roof, white stucco garage.

This two-level home was expanded in 1962, creating a large open living room space with with walls of sliding-glass doors leading to the front yard and to the back pool area. The expanded and updated bath includes a glass-block shower to match the glass-block wall in the entrance way (see close up below). See more photos here. It’s open tomorrow from 1 to 4 p.m. if you want to see it in person. Otherwise, it can be seen by appointment.
