Spring Market Blossoming
Well, it is officially spring now (see the cherry blossoms in Rock Creek Woods above) and the market is definitely heating up. I am seeing well-priced homes selling quickly with multiple offers, escalation clauses. Some homes are going for over asking. Clients of mine just lost an over-asking bidding war to buyers who waived the right to do home inspections. That’s a move circa 2005. Here are a few interesting properties that have come on during the past week. They all happen to be in Virginia. A 1967 Forest model in Wessynton listed for $549K; a 1971 Bonner custom in Reston listed for $710K; a 1955 raised ranch with shed roof in Yacht Haven Estates listed for $539K; and this expanded Goodman in Hollin Hills with a back addition by Joanne Goldfarb and an Arthur Cotton Moore-designed front addition and enclosed courtyard listed for $$824K.
